Star Gazing for Grade 2

Dear Grade 2 Families,

As a part of our current unit ‘Where we are in Place and Time’ we are organizing a ‘Star Gazing Evening’ for Grade 2 students. The date is Friday the 22nd of March.

Dr. Jiwaji from Open University from Tanzania will be leading the evening, which has been specifically chosen on Friday the 22nd, as it is the ideal date to get a clear view of the night sky.

It will be, if weather permits, held on the Elementary Campus Field for Grade 2 students and a parent who will be responsible for supervising their child, between 6.30 and 8.30pm.

We hope to see you there.

It’s all about the process!

Grade 2 have been on some fantastic field trips lately. As a part of our unit ‘How we organize ourselves’ the students visited Azam Juice Factory and we went to the Dar es Salaam Port. They had a FANTASTIC time and were able to learn a great deal about the people and processes involved in factory production and logistics. The students were able to make connections and deepen their understandings. Both field trips also provided opportunities for the student to reflect on the impact the processes have on all kinds of people from employees to customers. Thank you also to the parents who helped make this happen!
