Math Inquiry

Independent inquiry into numbers

Grade two classes have been reviewing basic number facts and we will continue our inquiry into extending addition facts and linking subtraction to addition. To work with your child on the concepts taught in class, try these interesting and rewarding activities:

1.Talk with your child about why it is important to learn basic facts.

2.Create addition and subtraction stories about real life.

3. We encourage you to set aside a time for your child to practice quick addition games on and subtraction games on IST Grade two blog.
