Unit of Inquiry – Fables

This week saw the end of our PYP Fable Unit; it was a unit of Inquiry that we in 2P thoroughly enjoyed!

We read many fables and discussed the meaning of the morals and how they still apply to many everyday situations. We learnt how a slave called Aesop first told most of today’s fables in Greece over 2000 years ago.

In Math we graphed our favourite fables.

In ICT we drew illustrations of different fables using a program called Doozla in the Teaching Lab.

We ended our unit with a presentation to the parents, a definite highlight!

  1. Wow! I’m impressed with all the second graders abilities to use this program; I hope some of you can teach me how to draw using Doozla – the fables look FANTASTICAS!!! Sra./Ms. Tamara
