Karibu! From Tanzania

Karibu and welcome to the newest member of the IST Learning Community – Leo Donnal McKillip! Leo was born just after school on Wednesday, 24 February.

Mr. McKillip was able to use Skype to stay connected with family during the event. Technology made being half way around the world seem well, not so far away after all.

Alyssa McKillip (grade 3 teacher) is doing well and happy that everything went as planned. Alyssa and Leo will rejoin us at IST in a few months.

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and good wishes.

    Hi Mr McKillip,

My mom told me u r a dad now! Cool. I hope ur new school knows what a great teacher u r and how lucky they r that u r there. Teachers here r a lot different. They don’t seem like they really care about us learning stuff as much as my teachers did at SCIS. Anyhow, I’m good. Zack says hi.

That is amazing! I was assigned to look at this blog for EDM 310 class at the University of South Alabama! Skype is an amazing tool, and we are learning how to use it in this class.

  8. Tammy Schaapherder says:

Tears in my eyes! I am so happy for the three of you. Congratulations.
