John Kilaka Is Back!
19/04/2010John Kilaka, author and illustrator who visited us earlier this year, will be visiting the library on Thursday at 1:00 selling 8 of his Amazing Tree books for 30,000TSH each. He will also sign them! Please send money with your child if you are interested in purchasing and your library bag if you want him to sign it as well!

IST Elementary Science Week

To coincide with Earth Week, IST Elementary campus is having a Science Week full of fun and learning for all students. Grade 2 will be involved in science activities Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. Some of the scientific concepts students will be exploring are Biology, Physics, Human Senses (Hearing, Sight, Smell and Taste) as well as Movement/Muscles and others.
Students will be focusing on Scientific Method – asking questions, making hypothesis, observations, recording results and reflection. If you would like to get involved in Science Week, please contact your child’s grade 2 teacher.
Living Abroad For Couples

Next Thursday evening I will be giving a presentation at the Alliance Francaise on “Living Abroad. It has changed me. Has it changed us as a couple?” If you are still having some difficulty getting settled, don’t hesitate to come either alone or with your spouse. I will be speaking about the challenges of adapting to a new place.

Grade 12 Art Exhibition!

The Grade 12 Art Exhibition will take place on Wednesday March 24 from 5:00 to 7:00pm.
We will be located in the Art Room and the lower level of the Library, IST Secondary Campus. (Thanks to the Library staff for allowing us to use their space.)
